Georgia Santos Evangelista is a Brazilian attorney, a certified accountant, and an attorney licensed in Florida. Ms. Evangelista obtained her Juris Doctor at Florida State University College of Law, where she also completed her Masters in American Law (LL.M).
Ms. Evangelista gained experience in immigration law as a volunteer at the FSU Center for Advancement of Human Rights, where she represented clients in asylum, domestic violence, human trafficking, and refugee cases. Ms. Evangelista also volunteered to help coordinate FSU Law’s Alternative Spring Break Program for two years and visited migrant worker camps, where she provided legal assistance alongside Florida Rural Legal Services attorneys.
Ms. Evangelista served as an extern at Legal Services of North Florida’s Tallahassee office and assisted low-income clients with family, immigration, landlord-tenant, and foreclosure cases. At the Second Circuit Court, Ms. Evangelista worked closely with a judge, learning the procedural intricacies of family law. Ms. Evangelista also interned at FSU Law’s Children’s Advocacy Clinic, handling adoption and special immigration juvenile cases.
